"Our goal is to have our
favorite American hero
commemorated. Students
immediately began collecting
money in the high school
cafeteria for our "ray
of sunshine" when they heard
the news. Other district
schools that Ray
attended held various
fundraisers as well. We
endeavor to get the word out
about the exceptional young
man that he was-a tender,
compassionate and
witty person who always
helped anyone at anytime. It
is that spirit that we want
to be carried on with a
scholarship in his name. His
family and Creek want him
remembered today and
forever. I know I will never
forget him and his absence
has left a big hole in my
heart."
